D Mortimer and Sons realised that their old DOS accounts package was not giving them the time savings and reporting functionality that was vital for moving their business forward.  They needed a new cost effective solution, and having contacted AMA Business Systems, chose Pegasus Opera II which also gave the added bonus of being able to be integrated with their specialist traffic management package.

Established over 100 years ago, D Mortimer and Sons, famous for their “Eat more Chips” slogan supply fruit and potatoes to both the wholesale and catering trades.  With their fleet of articulated vehicles they also operate as a distribution company for a range of products from Holland.

Opera II has made all of their systems much more efficient, using Windows technology, as opposed to DOS, has made certain tasks much quicker and more cost effective.  End of month statements take half the time to produce than before.  End of year payroll returns can now be very quickly produced and filed on-line – saving time, postage costs and the risk of them not arriving with the Inland Revenue at all!

The integration with their traffic management software  has also proved invaluable.  Using the standard import wizard within Opera II, invoices can be transferred automatically into the sales ledger with very little effort, saving time and mistakes with re-keying the information.
